Chapter 11 Chapter 11: Meet Mommy

The Elder Bishops were at a loss when a gang suddenly rushed in from outside.

"Mr. Bishop, nice to meet you, but I am afraid that you need to get your priority right. It’s time to pay your debts, 80 million dollars." It turned out that these were debt collectors who circled the whole Bishop family.

"Who are you? What are you doing?" Mandy was furious.

Elder Mr. Bishop scolded, "Stop it. Do you know who we are? We are the in-laws of the Murray family." But the Murray family drove cars away.

The two rows of black Maibakhs were so imposing that viewers could not help but dodge them from afar. The Bishop family gawked at the back of cars and stood there miserably.

Seeing cars running away, one of the debt collectors laughed, "Haha, are you related? Do they care for you?"

The Elder Mr. Bishops blushed. Before he wanted to be against the collectors, they slapped him down, punching and kicking.

When his wife was going to help him, they beat the old couple up together.

The formerly prosperous Bishop family was humiliated. That gang emptied the villa and threw all the luggage out. So was Stacy with a bloodied face. The whole family was in a mess.

The neighbors watching it could not help but whisper.

"Did you know? That little girl from the Bishop family is the granddaughter of the Murray family in LA."

"What? The skinny, tiny one? Her mother is from that family?"

"OMG, will they regret what they did?"

"Sure, but they deserved it. I saw that girl standing outside on a hot day, and Mandy cursed me when I spoke several words."

"Did she not say her granddaughter is a calamity? Look, how regretful they are."

Andrew kept coughing, spitting blood out of his mouth.

Stacy cried, "Andrew, are you okay?"

Mandy lost her temper to Stacy, "What are you doing? Stop your stupid crying. Where were you going?"

Stacy sobbed, "I saw Susie and went to beg her, begging her to forgive her grandparents, but she refused."

After hearing it, Mandy diverted her anger toward Susie.

Mandy thought they raised that damn girl for over three years and should get rewards from the Murray family, but they got nothing.

She kept cursing and could not help but blame Susie because that little girl's mother died because of her, Andrew went bankrupt, and they were all thrown out.

The more Mandy thought about it, the more annoyed she became and scolded, "A damn calamity."

She wanted to say that they did not care about that fucking kid, but she could not because the fact told her that they'd better keep Susie here.

In the car, Martin sent a message that said to get rid of the Bishop family.

The other side replied. Killed them?

Martin sneered at the question when he stared at the phone.

They could not dark their family name because of that kind of bastard.

Even if the Murray family wanted revenge, they would not do it that way.

Because making them fear and live in hell was the best way.

Susie sat quietly in the car, holding her muppet rabbit in one hand and her parrot in the other.

Craig tried to conform her, making him look amiable, "Susie, let's go home."

Ryan also followed, "Our family is in Los Angeles. We have to take a plane later."

Susie nodded her head nicely, quietly.

Even though she was silent, they all thought she looked much better than at the beginning.

But Craig still felt heartbroken. The better Susie behaved, the more he became sad because a child who lived in a frightening environment would suffer from this kind of quietness. How much had Susie suffered to become like this?

"Let's go home. Let's go home." He murmured.

Suddenly, Susie asked, "Grandpa, can we bring mommy back too?"

Craig nodded heavily, "Sure, let's go home together."

Hearing her grandpa say yes, Susie was relieved.

The Murray family chartered a plane. On the back way, Susie stared at the sky and the clouds that seemed right beside her.

She watched them, put down the rabbit to gather up her hands, and lay on her back to look out of the plane window.

Paul smiled warmly, "Susie, what are you looking at?"

Susie turned her head and asked, "Are we in the sky now?"

Paul nodded, "Yeah."

Susie had not even been on the plane. Suddenly, she asked, "So, is Mom here?"

Paul and Ryan sat close to her and froze, "What?"

Susie lowered her eyes, silently looked at the sky outside, and whispered, "They said mom died and went to the sky. We can see mom later, right?"

Susie bent over the plane window and looked out, tears in her eyes.

She knew that was a lie because her mommy was not in there, but she still couldn't help but look forward to seeing her mother.

Craig's eyes were red all of a sudden.

The rest of the brothers were silent, turning their heads to look out with their hands clenched.

Ryan held Susie in his arms and whispered, "Baby, close your eyes. After you fall asleep, you will see your mommy in your dreams."

Susie answered and nestled in Ryan's arms, but her tears quietly fell. She knew her uncle also lied to her. Because not once did she see her mother when she had fallen asleep many times.

When she closed her eyes, the red string on her wrist emitted a faint glow, but no one could see it if they did not look at it closely.

Susie felt all warm in the dream again, as if the sun shined on her body. She felt like she was going to fly in the sky.

Surrounded by white clouds, Susie reached out to pick a piece of cloud and put it in her mouth. Then, her eyes lit up because that was sweet.

At the same time, a soft and familiar voice came from behind her, "Susie."

Susie widened her eyes and immediately turned back. Her mother stood not far behind her, looking at her with tears.

"Mommy." Susie lunged forward, and her mother held her tightly.

Clara gently stroked her head and whispered, "My baby, be a good girl. Grandpa and uncles will be your family. Be happy, okay? I will always be with you."

Susie shed many tears and answered, "I know, mommy. I will be good."

Clara added, "Grandma is not well now because of me. Can Susie take care of Grandma for the sake of mommy?"

Susie choked and nodded vigorously. She was determined to take good care of grandmother.

Clara smiled and tried to say something, but a faint glow surrounded her body, and she disappeared.

"Susie, I love you! I love you forever!"

Susie shouted to her mother with tears on her face.
