Chapter 38 Chapter 25 So You've Been Two-Timing Her(1)

"Tameka, I'm not here to cause trouble. I want to take care of Judson..."

"You're taking care of him? Did you study nursing? Or are you a doctor?" Tameka interrupted her impatiently. "Lillian, where's your pride? Your family doesn't need you to do such humble things."

Lillian's face finally changed.

"Tameka..."

She was the daughter of the Stewart family and the actress worshiped by thousands of people.

Tameka should be nice to her for the Stewart family's sake.

"Let me make it clear," Tameka decided to have a showdown. "I can't control what Judson does with you outside. But I won't let you marry into my family."

Lillian quickly got up.

She looked at Tameka with a pale face, her chest heaving, and then she looked at Judson in the hospital bed.

Judson was clearly not asleep, yet he didn't open his eyes either, indifferent to their conversation.

Lillian felt disappointed.

Yesterday at Imperial Garden, he defended her in front of everyone.

She felt sweet and hopeful at that time.

But now, she despaired.

As the Stewart family's daughter, she was unable to bear the humiliation, and without even a word of farewell, she turned around and ran toward the ward door.

Tameka breathed a sigh of relief.

Having driven away a troublemaker, she could also finally settle the score with her son.

"Good. Last time you got a beating. This time you injured yourself while your love rival was locked in the closet."

She walked over and jabbed her finger into Judson's temple like a stepmother. "Speak! Open your eyes. Don't play dead."

Isidro watched as Judson's forehead was pinched by Tameka with her fingernails. There was even a crescent-shaped red mark left on Judson's skin. Isidro gathered the courage to say, "Mrs. Roach..."

Tameka gave him a sideways glance. "Are you also worried about my son? You want to marry into my family too?"

Isidro shook his head vigorously in fear.

Tameka let Isidro go, considering he had kept herself informed of Judson's situation.

She beckoned Isidro to drag a chair to her and then sat down next to Judson's hospital bed.

Her voice became a lot softer. "Are you feeling embarrassed? You didn't treasure Rose when she was with you, and now that she ignores you, you are torturing yourself."

Her words were so sharp.

Even Isidro was stung. At the risk of being taunted, he once again defended Judson. "Mr. Roach suffered a stomach bleed because he was too busy with work and didn't eat on time..."

"You even lost your appetite," Tameka teased. "How did a heartless mom like me give birth to a lovestruck son like you?"

Isidro covered his face.

He thought, "Sorry, Mr. Roach. I can't help you anymore..."

"Isidro, go and make some banners for Mr. Roach to show my praise for him," Tameka instructed leisurely. "The banners should be written with 'trapped in love', 'self-inflicted suffering', and... Let me think... 'Cremated immediately'!"

Judson finally opened his eyes.

"Isidro, get out."

Tameka would say more ridiculous words if Judson didn't open his eyes.

"Mom." He came straight to the point. "She's at apartment 19 on the 5th floor of unit 3 in Harmony Community by Longlake Road. Go get her."

Tameka grunted, "I'm not that thick-skinned to bully my benefactor's daughter."

"She doesn't want to go back to Imperial Garden. Let her stay at our home and keep an eye on her. Don't let her go out and mess around again," Judson said.

Tameka crossed her arms. "You're the haughtiest in our family. Rose used to only listen to you about everything. Yet she was forced to do all this. You should really think about what you did to her."
